Ekaterina Turkina holds a PhD in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh. She is an associate professor at HEC Montréal and holds the Research Chair in Global Innovation Networks. Ekaterina is also Associate Editor of the Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and a member of the International Advisory Board of the International Journal of Productivity Management and Assessment Technologies. Her main research areas are social network analysis, innovation and inter-firm networks, innovation ecosystems, and industrial clusters. She has published in prestigious journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Economic Geography Journal, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of Business Research, Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, International Journal of Computer Science and Network, International Journal of Information Management. She has written four books and has received several awards, including the Highly Commended Paper Award from the Journal of Enterprising Communities and Best Paper from the European Community Studies Association. She was also a finalist for the Alan Rugman Most Promising Scholar Award, which is given to an author in international business under the age of 40.
